Eataly is outstanding! It's enormous and gorgeous. There are security guards in suits with earbuds, too, but I managed to get a few photos of some of the cheese and proscuitto selections. Markets in general tend to frown upon photographing their set-up, but I wasn't the only one with a camera out because it really is impressive. Today I was just passing through but I can't wait to go back and dine! I encourage you to look at the website, www.eatalyny.com to get a sense of what Mario Batali is doing with this expansive marketplace and others like it, relying on local products and artisans to recreate the best of Italy.
